Brenda J. Stouffer, 63, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital after a courageous battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She was born January 7, 1955 in Latrobe, a daughter of the late Byron D. “Bud” McMaster Jr. and Ernestine (Fetter) McMaster.
Brenda was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Latrobe and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by two sisters: Rosalie Takacs and Lisa K. Burns.
She is survived by her husband of over 44 years, Allen L. Stouffer, three sons: Ronald A. Stouffer and his wife Patty, David E. Stouffer and his wife Mellissa, and Robert D. Stouffer and his wife Christie, six grandchildren: Brittany Howard (Nathan), and Ashton, Brandon, Chase, Daniel, and Zachary Stouffer, one great grandchild, Rilei Howard, two siblings, Barry D. McMaster and Alice M. Roadman (James), and a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Brenda’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Martha Hankin, the doctors and nurses at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital, Latrobe Family Practice, and Excela Hospice for their compassion and caregiving.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., 1500 Ligonier Street, Latrobe. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home chapel with her pastor, the Rev. Les Hutchins officiating. Interment will be in Unity Cemetery.
