Florence Levandosky Noel, 96, of Latrobe, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 in the Loyalhanna Care Center. She was born October 20, 1921 in Duquesene, a daughter of the late Frank and Emily (Mathus) Levandosky.
Florence worked at the former Alco Products in Latrobe and the Acme Die Munitions Plant in McChesneytown during the war. Prior to retirement she was employed as the secretary at the Latrobe United Methodist Church for 13 years where she was an active member. She sang in the church choir, and was a member of the United Methodist Women and the Deborah/Rachel Circle. She was also a member of the Friendly Twelve Club in Derry and volunteered for Meals on Wheels serving as a chairman. She and her husband delivered Meals on Wheels until they were both 88 years old. Some of her favorite pastimes included reading, collecting baskets, crossword puzzles, baking and traveling.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Earl Noel in 2016. She is survived by two children: Lynn Keefe and her husband Donald of Mt. Pleasant, and Leon Noel and his wife Linda of Connellsville, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and her brother, Frank Levandosky of New Alexandria.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM in the Latrobe United Methodist Church, 440 Main St., Latrobe. Interment will be in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Latrobe Meals on Wheels, 128 Orchard Drive.
