Myrtle C. Rose, 94, of Latrobe, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 in the Loyalhanna Care Center. She was born September 11, 1923 in Allentown, PA, a daughter of the late Warren and Esther (Geiger) Neimeyer.
Myrtle was a member of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed playing cards and other games with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Rose in 1977, a daughter, Joyce Inselmini in 2002, two sisters, Dolores and Janice, and a brother, Ernest “Bud” Neimeyer.
She is survived by two children, Kathleen Hoyle of Grampian, PA, and John H. “Jack” Rose and his wife Cheryl of Latrobe; grandchildren: John Hoyle (Britten), Beth DuVall (Wes), Sherrie Tozar (Dean), Sam Hoyle, Michael Quidetto (Devon), Lindsey Rose (Mike Fullem), Ramie Swiderski (Richard), Angie Cerretti (Dimitri), and Trisha Inselmini, 18 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, four siblings: Leon Neimeyer, Lois Althouse, Ronald Neimeyer (Dolores), and Roger Flexer (Lena), and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 10:30 AM in Unity Chapel, 130 Chapel Ln, Latrobe, PA 15650. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Latrobe Presbyterian Church, 428 Main St., Latrobe, PA 15650. The Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., Latrobe is assisting the family with arrangements.
