Dorothy “Dot” (DeGlau) Fink of Greensburg, formerly of Latrobe, beloved wife of James Fink for sixty years, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ on December 26, 2018. She was born on May 30, 1940, a daughter of the late August and Dorothy (Butz) DeGlau.
Dot graduated from Latrobe High School in 1958. She married James Fink on July 12,1958. Prior to her retirement, she worked at Seton Hill daycare for many years. In her early years she owned a card store in the former Gee Bee’s plaza on Route 30 in Greensburg.
The two most important things in Dot’s life were her relationship with the Lord and her family. She was very active in the Laurel Highlands Presbyterian Church. She led women’s bible study, worked in the nursery, and helped prepare meals for various functions.
Dot’s family was important to her and she loved them. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She always enjoyed every moment she had with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and they all know that she loved them. Dot was energetic and full of life. She was passionate about her faith and lived it. She will be greatly missed by her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald DeGlau. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, James Fink; her son, Vic Fink and his wife Pam of Sierra Vista, AZ; her daughter, Laura (Fink) Lachman and her husband Steve of Manheim, PA; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and her sister Arlene Steel.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 P.M. Sunday, December 30th in the Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 31st at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
