Obituary of Sophie Bosco

Sophie Ann “Annie” Bosco, 77, formerly of Bradenville, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born June 2, 1940 in Bradenville, a daughter of the late Angelo and Elisa (Brandimarte) Bosco.

Prior to her retirement, Annie was employed as a secretary for the Construction and General Laborers Union, Local 1451 in Latrobe. She was a member of St. Rose Roman Catholic Church in Latrobe where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Christian Mothers. Her favorite pastimes included crafts, bowling, and bingo. She also loved dogs, especially Mugsly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Gustino “Gus”, John, and Ferdinand “Fred” Bosco, two sisters: Elisa Amelia Bosco Fleming and Mary L. “Mame” Bosco, two nephews: John Bosco, Jr., and Stanley Bosco, a brother-in-law, George Brinker, and a sister-in-law, Genevieve Bosco.

She is survived by two brothers, Nicholas Bosco and his wife Lillian “Dolly” of Brenizer, and Angelo Bosco of Latrobe, a sister, Judith “Gilda” Brinker of Latrobe, three sisters-in-law: Judy, Elsie, and Jacquelyn Bosco, and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be no funeral home visitation. All are welcome to a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM Monday, June 4th in St. Rose Church, 4969 State Route 982, Latrobe, PA 15650. Members of the St. Rose Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the rosary for Annie at 9:00 AM Monday in St. Rose Church prior to the funeral mass. Private interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Action for Animals, P.O.
