Obituary of Jennie Spicher

Jennie S. Spicher, 69, of Latrobe, Unity Township, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born May 10, 1949 in Hartford, Alabama, a daughter of the late George L. and Carolyn F. (McKay) McCombs.

Prior to her retirement, Jennie was employed as a medical secretary by UPMC. She was a member of the First Church of God in Latrobe. A gourmet cook, she loved to entertain and enjoyed sharing her meals with family and friends. Her baking skills were out of this world, especially her bread from her home made yeast recipe. Jen loved to travel with her husband after retirement. While at home, she enjoyed her flower and herb gardening as well as her exquisite home decorating.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph V. Devinsky and a brother, George Edward McCombs.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Spicher, her son David Devinsky (Nicole Chew) of Jeannette, three siblings: George Alan McCombs (Deborah Peoples), Guy Richard McCombs (Suzie), and Donlea Wooden, her beloved Yorkie, Bella, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home, Inc., 1500 Ligonier Street, Latrobe. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 AM in the First Church of God, 616 Princeton Street, Latrobe, with her pastor, the Rev. Michael Bobula officiating. Everyone please go directly to the church. Entombment will be in the Twin Valley Memorial Park Mausoleum, Delmont.
